Barone Ricasoli 'Albia' Rose 2024

Albia Rosé is the Tuscan rosé of Barone Ricasoli, one of Italy’s oldest wine estates with a history dating back to 1141. Located in the hills of Brolio Castle, the Ricasoli family has played a defining role in Tuscan viticulture for centuries. Most famously, Barone Bettino Ricasoli helped shape the original formula for Chianti in the nineteenth century. Today, the estate combines that deep heritage with a modern, precise vision of winemaking, and Albia Rosé reflects exactly that philosophy.

Produced from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, Albia Rosé is crafted to capture freshness, purity, and the bright Mediterranean character of Tuscany. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve vibrant acidity and delicate aromatics. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks, followed by a short maturation period on fine lees. This careful approach enhances texture while retaining the wine’s lively fruit profile and elegant pale colour.

In the glass, Albia Rosé offers aromas of wild strawberry, pink grapefruit, white peach, and fresh rose petals, layered with subtle herbal notes. On the palate it is crisp, refined, and energetic, balancing juicy red berry fruit with refreshing minerality and a clean, dry finish.
