Saffredi, is a super Tuscan that put Maremma on the map as a region of sophistication and excellence. This powerful and complex wine—crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot—embodies Geppetti's boldness and ambition. Born from her commitment to experimentation and perfection, Saffredi has become one of Italy’s most iconic red wines, showcasing the immense potential of Tuscany's coastal terroir.

The winter was cold, transitioning into a predominantly wet spring with occasional warm, dry spells. Despite the rainfall, the wet conditions did little to replenish soils still parched from the previous year’s drought. As a result, the vines naturally adapted by yielding a small quantity of thick-skinned fruit. Towards the end of spring and the start of summer, a brief period of rain occurred, but hot and dry weather quickly resumed. Between May and September, the region experienced its second driest period on record.
