Cesare Bussolo
Cesare Bussolo is undoubtedly one of the most interesting wine producers you can follow in Piedmont at the moment. He was born and raised in the heart of La Morra. Since 2007 he has worked for the Roberto Voerzio estate. Here he is involved in both the vineyards and the entire production process. He has thus become a loyal and indispensable partner of Roberto Voerzio. Roberto Voerzio is among the top 1% of producers in Barolo.
In 2009 Bussolo went solo. He bought a vineyard of no less than 90 years old in Santa Lucia, an area that is particularly well adapted to the Barbera culture of La Morra, which he considers the best terroir in the world. The vineyards are farmed organically and the harvest is done by hand. The label on which a mustachioed gentleman raises his glass to estimate the color intensity illustrates how much care and attention Cesare pays to his wines.
Roberto Voerzio is his mentor and teacher. The wines are produced in the cellar of Roberto Voerzio. The combined knowledge and experience of both gentlemen is above all good news for all of us: it makes it possible to achieve the absolute quality of the wines and vineyards.
